Check or Report an FPL Power Outage
FPL's public map and address-specific reporting system perform different jobs. This guide sends you to the right one without collecting your information.
The map is approximate, updates about every 15–30 minutes and may show less detail in storm mode.
WHAT THIS SOURCE CAN TELL YOU
Use it for the right question
- The public tracker accepts an address, city or ZIP to move the map but does not reveal address-level customer status.
- Outage details may include reported time, estimated restoration, customers affected, status, cause and last update.
- Report or check an individual outage through FPL's separate web system or 1-800-468-8243.
LOCATION-SPECIFIC GUIDANCE
Tips worth knowing first
- Wait about 15 minutes and refresh if a newly reported outage is not yet visible.
- An outage icon marks an approximate center and may not sit over the affected address.
- During a major storm, neighborhood-level real-time information may be suspended while FPL assesses damage.
- Streetlight problems have a separate reporting route; not every streetlight is maintained by FPL.
