Check Xfinity Internet & Service Outages

Start with Xfinity’s public outage map for possible area outages. Sign in when you need status tied to your own Internet, TV or Voice service and equipment.

Important

The public map shows potential area outages, not proof that every address inside an area is affected. Account-specific status and restoration details may require sign-in. If only your home is affected, check power and equipment before assuming a network outage.

Five checks in the right order

  1. Open the outage map and search the service area.
  2. Sign in to the Status Center for account-specific service and equipment status.
  3. Check whether Internet, TV and Voice are affected together or separately.
  4. Use the displayed restoration estimate as an estimate, not a guarantee.
  5. If no outage appears, restart or troubleshoot equipment through official support.

The public map and your signed-in status answer different questions

  • The public outage map is useful for nearby context; signed-in status is more specific to your services.
  • Xfinity says customers can text OUT to 266278 when a mobile number is registered to the account.
  • Internet, TV and Voice may not recover at exactly the same time.
  • The Response Center is most useful during hurricanes, wildfires and other critical events.
  • One Minute Updates never asks for or stores your Xfinity credentials or address.

Avoid common traps

Can I check without signing in?

Does a map area prove my home is out?

No. Confirm your own service status and equipment before drawing that conclusion.

Can I receive text updates?

Xfinity documents texting OUT to 266278 for customers with a registered mobile number.
