AIRPORT CONDITIONS · BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS

Check Boston Logan Conditions & Security Waits

Logan now publishes real-time checkpoint estimates. Check your terminal’s wait, your operating airline and FAA conditions before leaving.

Important

Wait estimates can change quickly and do not confirm your flight. Massport recommends arriving two hours before domestic departures and three hours before international departures.

Five checks in the right order

  1. Confirm the operating airline and terminal; Logan uses Terminals A, B, C and E.
  2. Open Massport’s wait page and use the checkpoint for that terminal.
  3. Check Massport flight status, then confirm with the operating airline.
  4. Check FAA NAS Status for BOS-wide ground stops or delay programs.
  5. If driving, open the separate real-time parking-status page before departure.

Terminal knowledge saves time

  • Massport launched public real-time checkpoint visibility in May 2026.
  • TSA PreCheck is available in every passenger terminal; CLEAR availability differs by terminal.
  • Do not assume two flights sold by the same airline use the same terminal—confirm the operating carrier.
  • Logan’s terminal roadway is compact and congestion can add time even when security is short.
  • Pickup rules differ by terminal and transportation type; use Massport’s pickup page rather than waiting at the curb.

Avoid common mistakes

Does a short wait mean my flight is on time?

No. Confirm the flight separately with the operating airline.

Does FAA status show every airline problem?

No. It covers broader air-traffic events, not every gate, crew or mechanical delay.

Can I use another terminal’s checkpoint?

Do not assume it will help. Verify terminal connectivity and airline guidance first.
